Beth Hardy is a nationally board-certified music therapist and Utah state-certified music therapist who has been practicing since 2008. Beth received her bachelor's degree in music therapy from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in 2007 and completed her internship at the Veterans' Home of California in Yountville, CA. Beth has received additional training from the Center for Music Therapy in End of Life Care, and has received the Hospice & Palliative Care Music Therapy Certificate.
Before moving to Salt Lake City, UT in 2015, Beth lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked at the Palo Alto VA Hospital. While there, Beth had the opportunity to provide music therapy to veterans of all ages and abilities, including those in inpatient psychiatry, blind rehabilitation, PTSD treatment, long term care, memory care, and hospice.
Beth currently works with clients in long term care, hospice, adult day health care, memory care, cancer treatment, residential treatment facilities for teens, and labor/delivery. In 2016, Beth helped to start the first-ever music therapy program at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, and continues to work there part-time. Beth is also a trained birth and postpartum doula, and she specializes in using music therapy to assist parents during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Beth is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association, Western Region Music Therapy Association, Utah Association of Music Therapists, and the Utah Doula Association. She currently holds board positions with the Utah Association of Music Therapists and the Utah Doula Association.
